Differences in PeopleTool patching verses Tool Version Upgrade
We have recently upgraded (in November, 2013) from Peopletools 8.50 to 8.53, at the time the most recent patch was 8.53.02.
We have encountered some issues that have since been resolved in more recent patched releases ie 8.53.06. We are hoping to understand the degree of testing that other organizations perform when they under go a patch release vs a full version upgrade? Is it correct to assume if you remain on the same tools release ie 8.53, the degree of change would be less then if you upgrade to a new full release ie 8.54?
