Check Printing in PeopleSoft 9.2 using BI Publisher

The PeopleSoft 9.2 environment is delivered with the following:

Pay Cycle Definition > Step > Print Checks

- the Process Type = Crystal Check

- the process Name = APY2021-

I understand Crystal Check is no longer supported, so why is this configured as Crystal Check?  What is the appropriate configuration for this Pay Cycle Step if the intent is to use BI Publisher?
