How to update PS_Home during a HCM 9.2 application only upgrade

We completed our initial pass from 9.2 demo to a copy of our 9.0 database, our tools release are the same in both environments. After the pass we realized that the target PS_Home contained no delivered 9.2 files. We were told that the upgrade process does not upgrade PS_Home of the target environment. We would like to know the best approach (other than a manual compare) to make sure the target PS_Home contains the 9.2 files when an appliction only upgrade is performed.
