Issue with SAMBA connectivity in PUM Virtual Machine

Hello - We're working on a PUM configuration as follows:

  • Windows 7 client desktop (used as the virtual source)
  • Tools 8.53.09
  • Oracle 12C (12.1.0.1.0)
  • VirtualBox v4.3.8
  • PeopleSoft 9.2 Financials image 005 - configured for network as NAT with port forwarding  (http, DB Listener, SSH and Samba on TCP and UDP ports).

For the most part, this configuration is working from other network clients:

  • Virtual file systems accessible in Putty and WinSCP
  • Virtual DB accessible in SQL Developer (with appropriate update to tnsnames file)
  • PIA accessible via browswer

The only exception is with the SAMBA mapping in Windows.  Using NAT with port-forwarding, I cannot figure out how to get either the host computer or other clients to recognize the virtual file systems (ie. pi_home) in Windows Explorer. As a workaround, I've created a local copy of the pi_home virtual directory to use for the Change Assistant configuration.

Howdy, Stranger!
