Data Guard setup for DB migration

We are planning for a hardware migration to do 2 things: (1) Get Oracle on 11.2.0.4, (2) Get DB to new Servers. This is our strategy: --> Old Master 11.1.0.7 --> New Dataguard Slave1 (local site, new HW) 11.1.0.7 --> New Dataguard Slave2 (remote site, new HW) 11.10.7 Procedure: 1. Switchover to Slave1 as new master (Question: Does Slave2 now recognize and automatically sync from Slave1?) 2. Old Master is no longer in use. 3. Slave1 is now Master, Slave2 is now slave to Slave1 4. Upgrade Slave1 to 11.2.0.4 5. Start Slave1 as new Master for operations to minimize
