Import failed error using delivered Excel journal interface

We have been successfully using the delivered Excel journal upload process.  This morning, the import process is failing and we are getting a cryptic error message that we have never seen before (see the attached word document).

We have tried a number of different files, using different workstations and user IDs, but the error message remains the same.  Can anyone help identify where we should start looking for the source of the problem?
