Impact of cancelling partillaly recipt Order

Impact of cancelling partillaly recipt Order , If we do cancel Order wether we can face any problem in Doing Voucher match, Payments,Or reverse receipt of existing receipt or any process related to receipt. As I have a request to cancel the Order but when Order is partially received and they don't want to process this order further for receipt for balance qty. But they have to pay the balane to Supplier or in fiuture they may reverse the purcahse Order.

I tested this but didn't faced any issue processing partial receipt Order . But for saferside wanted to have expert comments on this.
