Error in PIA Servlets logs "SEVERE psft.pt8.jb.ICService serializeRequest"

Hi,

I am noticing an error in the PIA servlets logs for Oracle WebLogic this morning during class search on our production system. Looking it up on Oracle support makes me think that the student didn't enable cookies on the browser.  Want to see if anybody has seen this and what caused it in your case and how you resolved this. Please see below for an example:
