Using Data Guard with OIM or OAM

Does anyone use Data Guard with OIM or OAM (11gR2) ?

We have need to have a DR configuration for our OIM implementation and we are considering Data Guard.

There seems to be a lot of information about using RAC for this purpose, but little to none on using Data Guard.  For cost reasons, we need to use Data Guard.

We've done some initial  testing, but have had limited success.

Is anyone using Data Guard in their OIM or OAM implementation?
