Using PeopleCode to Show/Hide pages.

I am working on a custom project where I need to be able to display a certain page based on a field value in the search record. I know the code that I need to use but I am apparently missing something or placing it in the wrong PeopleCode event because it only half-way does what I want it to do. This project is a self-service project for our instructors to be able to complete audit sheets required by the state for attendance.
