Administer File Attachments in FSCM 9.2 - URL server vs FTP server vs DB server?

Which is the recommended option to use for storing file attachments in FSCM 9.2? Several modules use these attachments in FSCM 9.2 but the documentation does not give any details about the pros/cons of using either of the 3 options available. Can SFTP be used for the FTP server option? Are there any performance considerations when storing these attachments in the database server? How is URL server different from Database server? Do they both store the files in the database? What are the estimated sizes of these file attachments when stored in the database vs when stored on a
