PRICE_HIST table

Hi,

Can I rely on the PRICE_HIST table to fetch Initial Price, Modified Price (if any changes), Current Price, Promotional Price and whatever changes to the RETAIL PRICE of an Item or Pack?

I understand that UNIT_RETAIL gets o populated with ZERO/NULL value when I do not update a UNIT_RETAIL in ITEM_LOC table, how to mitigate this issue (configurations/steps to follow)?
