PeopleTools 8.53.05 clicking 'Toggle Grid' button causes page background to black out

Hi everyone,

We are running PeopleTools 8.53 (HCM 9.2).  I have the delivered page WF_EE_TERMINATE open in App Desiginer on our demo system.  When I click the 'Toggle Grid' button, the page background reverses to black - no grid ever appears.

In our development environment, we are trying to modify the page to include some additional fields but they won't align nicely.  So - I tried clicking the 'Toggle Grid' button, and got the black page background.

I've attached a file to show you what I mean.

Is there a workaround for this?  It only seems to happen on this page, so far.
