Is it possible to read data from a pdf file into peoplesoft system

Hi,

We have a 3rd party customer statement file. The file is a .pdf file.

I need to get the number of pages for each customer into the peoplesoft system. Please suggest me any approach even if it is some external tools which can accomplish this

We are on PeopleSoft FSCM 9.1 and Peopletools 8.50 and Sybase 15.0.3
