IE11 and PeopleTools 8.53 and Compatibility Mode

IE10 is supported on PeopleTools 8.53 but Doc ID 704492.1 states clearly on page 34 that "Standards mode is not supported." so the browser MUST be run in Compatibility Mode.

This document makes no reference to IE11.

The certifications database states that IE11 is supported on PeopleTools 8.53 but I can find no statement about which "mode" to run the browser in.

Is anyone else out there using IE11 and 8.53 or are there any Oracle developers listening in that can add some clarity.
