nVision and Excel 2010

Hi,

we are in Peopletools 8.49.19 and 9.0 Application. we are on Excel 2007.

we have installed Office 2007 on Process scheduler machine too.

right now, all the excel files are generated (nVIsion outputs) with .xls format.

we have Excel 2010 installed on some of the user machines. the users with excel 2010 able to run nVIsion reports and open output reports from portal (report manager)  with no issues.

Note: we have office 2007 still at the process scheduler.

Question: Is there a way, we can make the report output generated with .XLSX (new format), for nVision reports.

Question: converting the layouts (remember we have peopletools 8.49 and nVision tool installed use 2003 of office) or does it make sense to convert the layouts to offfice 2007 and use it with users on Excel 2010. and still able to generate output with .xlsx ?
