NVision error with Excel 2003 not be compatible with PT8.53

I am getting the message An OpenXml error occured. Microsoft Excel 2003 Format Layouts are not supported. Unsupported FileFormat when I try to run our nvision reports.  I have followed the steps in Oracle Document 1266286.1 and still am not getting anywhere.  We have recentally upgraded from PT 8.50
