RMAN/TDPO - switching TSM servers

Hello all,

we'll be replacing our old TSM5.5 with TSM7.1, setting up a completely new TSM server environment. We'll also switch to 7.1 TDPO clients in this context.

We want to run both TSM servers in parallel for a limited time. Now I'm wondering if I'll still be able to access backups in the old TSM server after I've moved to the new ones with the "hot" backups.

Will RMAN catalogue become confused with the TSM switch? Will I be able to pitr databases with backups in the old TSM server? This is a regular task in our environment.

Any hints welcome. TIA!
