How to take care of archived / history tables in an application upgrade?

Hello Guys,

I needed to know - How can I take care of archived / history tables during an application upgrade? Oracle data conversion application engine does not touch history tables and therefore, I need to have a way by which these tables come under data conversion process. Oracle suggest three options for this in DOC ID -835906.1, but none of them seem pratical. I have also heard a few customers who have modified data conversion process to include / exclude tables...Is there any way by which history tables can be taken care of during an application upgrade? Please guide...
