Automatic selection of NCP (Network Configuration Profile)
I'm rather confused by documentation and training materials. "Introduction to Oracle Solaris 11 Networking" says:
The daemon automatically activates one or the other NCP depending on the networking conditions in which the system is currently operating.
Fine, but "Connecting Systems Using Reactive Network Configuration in Oracle Solaris 11.1" says:
NCPs do not have an activation-mode
property. All NCPs are manually enabled.
Training (transition to Solaris 11) does not say anything about it at all. It goes to great details showing netcfg commands without explaining what is behind them
So - which manual is correct?
