Reset values in dashboard prompt

There was a discussion back in 2012 in which a person asked if there was a way to reset the values in a prompt after the report results have been returned.  The answer was to either hit F5 and start over for that dashboard (fine if you are in the first page of the dashboard, not so good on other pages), or go into each field on the prompt and select blanks.  When I first come into the page, blanks is a selection criteria, but after the report is returned, only actual values are in my drop-down.
