Considering mobile app frameworks (Oracle MAF vs. Oracle Mobile ADF): which one makes more sense?

Originally, I posted this to My Oracle Support (as SR 3-9305131721). The support rep responded that MAF was built upon ADF so MAF has more capability...but they directed me to post my question to this Oracle PeopleTools Community for a more nuanced response. So that is what I'm doing.....calling all guru's! First a little background and then my multi-part question, if you please.

On one hand, PeopleSoft Mobile Inventory Management datasheet (PS9.1 or PS9.2) says it was developed using the "Mobile Application Development Framework" (Mobile ADF). Yes, we are interested in Mobile Inventory Management. On the other hand, the main Oracle website also offers a lot of content about "Oracle Mobile Application Framework" (Oracle MAF), which looks similar in intent. Both work with JavaScript/HTML5 but ADF seems to target only Windows mobiles (fine for barcode handhelds but not fine for smartphones), wherease MAF creates apps for iOS and Android devices and can interact with RESTful services. Not quite sure but looks like both

Howdy, Stranger!
