Does the Pay cycle job kick off the AP_FG_PROC (Process to send AP payments to Financial Gateway)?

We are trying to automate pay cycle through the delivered pay cycle job. Can somebody share their experience? Also please let me know if it kicks off the process AP_FG_PROC after payment creation?
