High SWAP Usage on AppServer

Hi all,

We are getting High SWAP alerts on one of our Production AppServers.

Below is the Alert email triggered whenever the issue gets encountered...

Alert! High SWAP Usage on AppServer (vaathmr741)

SWAP space usage on vaathmr741 is at 72% and exceeds the 50% threshold. Please check for processes consuming high memory, especially PSAPPSRV and if necessary kill them.

This issue occurs more frequently at the end of the month (due to some high volume of the month-end processing).

1. How to resolve this issue permanently -- i.e., the SWAP space usage should not exceed 50% at any given time - this is my main concern on this production box.
