About stopping the Admin Server when we uses OIM system in production

My customer users OIM 11.1.2.2.0.

The customer wants to know the effect to stop the WLS Administration Server after the OIM managed server completely started.

After stopping the Admin Server and I tested some operation of OIM. As far as I tested, OIM worked fine with no error.

Actually I think that the Admin Server that is RUNNING is needed when starting OIM managed server(and SOA managed server) or the configuration for OIM system is changed.

Therefore we can do the OIM operation(workflow, password reset, provisioning, reconciliation and so on) even if the Admin Server is shutdown but I think that we should run the Admin Server because running the Admin Server is normal situation as product. Regarding this, there is no description about that in any documentation.
