integration broker certificate authentication

Hi,

I'm trying to send a web service to an external provider, who wants to utilize certificate authentication.  We are https, so I sent them our cert.  When I tested it out, we get an HTTP 401 error with a response back from vendor saying the certificate was not present.  I was under the impression that our gateway would send the cert since we are https?  I tried changing the node to 'certificate' and still got the error.  Any ideas?
