The relationship between WF related tables to tablespace size

Not sure if this is the correct forum to post. We are using EBS version 12.1.3

I have just purged obsolete workflow run time data. Three related tables wf_item_attribute_values, wf_notification_attributes, wf_item_activity_statuses all have data been purged and the rows for the table went from almost 14 million to hundred thousand rows. The table resides in apps_tx_ts_data tablespace. Even though the rows in the table have been purged; however, the tablespace size did not shrink. Why would that be? Could someone please shed some lights? Thank you very much.
