How to reflect comments on workflow on the preparer once rejected

Hi,

   I have created a custom workflow and once the workflow was sent to the approver and the approver rejected the workflow and added his/her comments when viewed in the preparer side no workflow history was displayed.

  How can i display the history of the workflow? I would want to display the history of the workflow to see the comments of rejection
