PUM Updates using the Proactive Approach

We are on 9.2, tools 8.54.  We are using the Proactive Approach where we select all updates not yet applied to our system.  This is including global payroll and country specific objects.  Our DBAs are concerned that this will exponentially increase the size of our database.  Should this be a concern??
