Trying to determine how to architect my 11gR2 connectors

My current working Identity Management environment is Oracle OIM 9.1.0.2 with the Active Directory, eDirectory, Lotus Notes and RACF connectors.

For 11gR2 I see that Active Directory, eDirectory and Lotus Notes all require a Connector Server between OIM and the target resource.  This is new for me since OIM 9.1.0.2 did not require this.

I'm looking at document:

Oracle® Fusion Middleware Developer's Guide for Oracle Identity Manager
11g Release 2 (11.1.2)

Part Number E27150-17

Question:

1) Do I need a separate server for each connector or can I run multiple conectors on a connector server?
