Can a cascade standby be added to the primary configuration?

Hello Community Members!

I have a question regarding a cascade standby. Here is the scenario:

1. Primary database P1 is in Germany.

2. A remote standby RS1 is currently running in server 1 in Chicago.

3. The task is to migrate the remote standby RS1 from server 1 to server 2 in Chicago.

The idea was to create a cascade standby RS2 from RS1.

We know that cacade standby RS2 can be created. But can the standby RS2 be added to primary dataguard configuration and made a standby for P1? We also plan to discontinue RS1 after moving to RS2.

Will this mechanism work?

I am looking forward to some valuable feedback from you.
