What is prorate allocation rule and how it works on the PO receipt.

Hello All,

Currently the business follows SYSTEM_OPTIONS.DISTRIBUTION_RULE = 'prorate' and  we would want to understand what is prorate allocation rule and how it works on the PO receipt on the multichannel environment.
