Is it possible to use Change Assistant installed from an image on a higher PT version with an older

Is it possible to use Change Assistant installed from an image on a higher PT version with an older image on a lower PT?  For example, FSCM 9.2.007 was packaged using PT8.53.12.  FSCM9.2.009 is newly released and is packaged using PT8.54.03.  I have both images loaded on a virtual machine.  If I install PT8.54.03 and the new Change Assistant, can I use the PT8.54 Change Assistant with the older image packaged using PT8.53 if I have to go back to the older image for something? Or do I have to uninstall/reinstall the CA version to match the PT version used
