PeopleTools 5.3: Anyone using Recurrence with Customize Dates?

We are using Recurrence with Customize Dates to schedule a process for 6 months followed by 6 months not to run the process. Effective Until year is set to 2070 and expect that no further intervention will be needed year on year.

The flag is selected for "Do not schedule any processes missed from the recurrence pattern."

This has been working in PT 8.50 as expected.

Now in the process of upgrading to PS9.2 PT8.53 and rescheduled the process. The Recurrence was setup a year ago and the process is scheduling itself for every single day since the Recurrence was setup. This is clearly going backwards from PT8.50.
