EBS 12.1.3 (database) migration from HP-UX Itanium to Linux

Hello All,

I am trying to migrate a EBS(12.1.3) env from HP-Itanium to Linux (and have 12c - 12.1.0.1 database) and as part of that would like to know whether the below approach(es) would work?

Approach 1:

1) Install EBS 12.1.1 (apply 12.1.3) on Linux

2) Upgrade the EBS database from 11g to 12c(12.1.0.1) on HP-UX Itanium

3) Install a fresh 12c ORACLE_HOME on Linux

4) migrate the database from HP-UX to Linux using rman (I was told this is possible in 12c)

5) make the cloned 12c database to be part of EBS on Linux??? ---> Is this possible??

Approach 2 :

1) Install EBS 12.1.1 (apply 12.1.3) on Linux

2) Upgrade the EBS database from 11g to 12c(12.1.0.1) on HP-UX Itanium
