using a file layout in an app engine

in PeopleTools and Lifecycle Management - PSFT (MOSC)

Hi,

I have a file layout and an app engine program that reads the file and imports it into a table.  I dragged the file layout into the PeopleCode action.  When I run the app engine all I get is a blank row of data. 

Does anyone have any clues?
