How we can Implement/Configure "Buy-one Get-one free" & "Buy-One get 50% Off on Other using RMS/RPM?

Hello, I am bit confused what is the difference in RMS Deals and RPM Promotions? We have following couple of business scenarios(We are shoe retailers.), please guide me how we can manage/Implement these in Oracle Retail System. 1) We want to offer "Buy-one Get-one free" offer to our customers at our stores. 2) We want to offer "Buy-One get 50% Off on Other Shoe"to our customers that if they buy any one of A,B,C items they will get 50% off on any of X,Y,Z Item.
