How to display Special Char using XLF file in BI Publisher in PeopleSoft?

For a requirement we have to show the output of report in English, French and Dutch. To achieve this, we have created XLIFF file in respective languages and uploaded at the path BI Publisher >> Translation.

If there is any special char (ex: Prénom) in the BI report, than it is throwing an error message.

If this special char is replaced by a simple English word (Prenom) than report is working file.

Let us know, how can we handle these special char in XLIFF file.
