PO_TYPE table in RMS

Hi,

    I have some clarifications  on how PO_TYPE table is populated in RMS. Whether this table can be part of conversion, so that we can insert data in this table from backend.  Because as of now, the PO_TYPE table is empty.  So there is a request where we need to specifically give some PO types and description, so that user will come to know , for which type this order was placed.  (E.g. Summer 2015, Spring 2015 etc.. )

    If we are adding some specific records in this table, will it create any impact when we are placing orders or is this anywhere connected to any functionality. Could you please clarify on this.
