PUM and OVM IP addressing - static vs dhcp

The Oracle VM was installed with DHCP - giving it a 192.168.x.x address

When I tried building an HCM image with a static IP of 10.x.x.x - then I am not able to logon to the URL

the 192.168.x.x addressing schema is not our standard

** by not accessible - this is what i mean **

I built the image with:

a static ip of 10.x.x.x

hostname of hcmpum.xxxx.com  (i have also tried hcmpum.xxxx.local)

when i enter the address in the browser of    http://10.x.x.x:8000/ps/signon.html   the browser screen throws an error that i must have xxxx.com in my url
