Oracle Treasry R12 - Create Fixed Deposits

in Financials for India - EBS (MOSC) Question

1. Cannot seem to identify correct deal type for fixed deposits.

Documentation is not very clear on what deal type to use for Fixed Deposits with banks (compound interest). Possible options identified:

a. TMM - the interest is fixed and not calculated in a compounded fashion. Cannot withdraw deals (must adjust principal for this but the principal adjustment is not allowed on ad hoc dates)

b. RTMM - this deal is more like a mortgage or loan with EMIs, especially since we can no longer add an 'Interest Only' type of calculation for a payment schedule.

Business impact: Cannot handle fixed deposits in system.
