When I print a SQR output directly to a printer, it takes 15 mins to spool it

When I print a SQR output directly to a printer, it takes 15 mins to spool the output to the printer.  I checked the printer and the print request queue is empty when i tried printed the output.  If I print anything out from peoplesoft(Any word documents), it prints correctly.  Please let us know if this can be resolved by any configuration?
