Difference between Full Refresh, Recalculate, and Snapshot when creating Data Loads in ARM

edited Feb 19, 2015 1:12PM in Hyperion Financial Close Management (FCM) (MOSC) 2 commentsAnswered ✓

I'm creating Data Loads to automate the loading of ARM.  When I create a new Data Load I'm prompted to select a 'Mode'. The options are:

  • Full Refresh
    • Which if selected prompts you with a message indicating: "Choosing the Full Refresh option will purge ALL balances when it is executed and replace them with balances ONLY from the selected Location(s)."
  • Recalculate
  • Snapshot

Does anyone know what the difference between the 3 is?  Is there a recommended option when setting up automatic / scheduled loads of ARM?

Thanks,

Jay
