RCONFIG error during RAC ASM to RAC ASM cloning using RMAN Backup based Duplication.

Hi All,

We would like to duplicate or clone our 2 Node ASM RAC Production Environment

to a 2 Node ASM RAC Test Environment using a Hotbackup.

Steps

1. Backup Production DB

2. Create init.ora & DB Server plus ASM directories for the duplicate database.

3. Prepare and Execute RMAN duplicate script.

4. Use rconfig to convert to RAC DB

Using RMAN's Backup-based Duplication, we have managed to open the Database on the first Test Node.

RMAN> duplicate target database to OTEST backup location '/mnt/backup/' pfile='/u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/dbs/initotest.ora'
