In Purchasing Contracts (NOT the repository), can you create a Deliverable based on the promised dat

Is there anyway to create a deliverable based on the promised date and an amount range?  We would want the due date to be the promised date; which is different on each document so picking the field would be best, and then depending on the amount send a notification so many days before that promised date.  So if the amount was between $15,001 and $30,000 and the promised date was 180 days out from now, then generate the notification/reminder.  We can do this with an Oracle Alert, but I thought the Deliverables would be more flexible than the Alerts?

And how can we tell what notifications will be sent once we set it up?
