PeopleSoft Peopletools 8.53, Microsoft Windows Server 2008 Mainstream support

Hi Everybody,

          this is in reference to: Tech Update: Mainstream Support for Windows Server 2008, 2008 R2 Winds Down (Doc ID 1924632.1)


we are on Peopletools: 8.53.15 and Microsoft Windows 2008 Server (Batch,App, DB and Web servers).

from the Tech update, it was apparent, Microsoft Windows 2008 (that we have) expired Main Stream Support on Jan 13 2015.

Question 1 : Does it mean, the PeopleTools Version 8.53 we are in is NO MORE, supported or certified with our Current Windows 2008 OS.

Why DO I ASK, this?

Because, Read below from the tech update:

When a third party component is certified with PeopleSoft, Oracle certifies the component only as long as we are able to obtain support for it through the vendor’s mainstream support.  When the support ends, our certification will be retired.
