Cleaning up/inactivating delivered Integration Broker elements

I'm digging into PERSON sync/full sync for the first time.  As I'm setting up, looking at logs and such, I find SO many other things running that we don't use.  I want to clean up all the delivered IB structure.  For example, there's 67 active nodes, we don't need all of those but which can I inactivate?  What handlers, routings, service operations delivered are needed internally, what is just test data?
