BI Publisher check printing customization tips, PT 8.54, FIN 9.2.009.

We're upgrading from PT 8.53 to 8.54 and also our app from 9.1 to 9.2.009.  We currently print checks with Crystal Reports, and we're switching to BI Publisher.  I'm looking for tips and advice on any issues that other people had and how you resolved them.  We need to add a MICR line to the bottom of the checks, add our logo and signatures, remove some unneeded fields from the template, and move things around.  We want a different template for each Pay Cycle.

I downloaded some documents from Oracle ("Steps on How to Install Signature and MICR Fonts on XMLP Checks", Doc 1420245.1 - EAP: How does Pay Cycle determine which of the XMLP Formats APY2021X1, APY2021XA, APY2021X1C to use when XMLP checks are to be printed").  This past weekend, I took the self study XML Publisher For PeopleSoft Enterprise CD course.  I installed the Windows plug-in a couple days ago and am starting to play with it.  I'm only just starting to learn how to use BI Publisher, so please be detailed in your replies
