PeopleTools 8.54 Upgrade for Linux Server

We're in the planning phase of our PeopleTools 8.54 upgrade and this is the first PeopleTools upgrade that I've done.  I just finished watching the Upgrading to PeopleTools 8.54 (Tools Only Upgrade) webcast that covers this.  In the presentation, it says that you now use Change Assistant to do the upgrade.  While that makes sense and will work well for Windows servers, I was wondering how this works for Linux servers since Change Assistant only runs on Windows.  I've done some searching on MOS about this and have not found anything.  Because of that, I'm thinking that I just need to keep reading through the piles of documentation and I'll eventually find how it works.  But I was hoping that someone out in the MOSC could take a minute to explain how
