Attention: To align with new corporate security policies, and to match policies adopted by other communities within Oracle, the My Oracle Support Community access requirements will change beginning September 18, 2025. Applying patches using PUM best practices question

Hello Folks,

I'm trying to figure out whats the best practice to apply a particular patch from DMO to PRD.

Assumptions:

Change assistant is able to see the target environment in EMHUB.
Change assistant can talk to PUM.
Patch to be applied has been determined.

Steps that i'm following right now:

Upload the target(DMO) environment to PUM.
Create a change package with the required patch for DMO (question: Is the package tied to target (DMO) environment?)
Apply change package to DMO as if it is Initial Pass.
1. At this point, I've tried to use the same package applied to DMO to DEV and it failed with some weird error.
